Preimplantation Genetic Screening

Preimplantation Genetic procedure is essential for couples with repeated IVF failures, repeated abortions (habitual abortions) and aged couples, commonly done as PGT-A, for aged women to identify aneuploid embryos., with aberrant chromosomal numbers.

The identification of Hereditary diseases when family history is elicited is very essential to avoid continuation of similar diseases further- PGS or PGD.

Here few (minimum 4 cells) from the outer cells of the Blastocyst are aspirated using specific pipette , with the help of micromanipulator and inverted microscope , then the same are subjected for genetic testing – Next Gen Sequencing . If the cell seems to be normal then the embryo is declared as fit ones to transfer in to uterus.

Fertility centres provide a range of services, including infertility evaluations, ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), egg and sperm freezing, donor programs, surrogacy, and genetic testing to help individuals and couples achieve pregnancy.

If you have been trying to conceive for over a year (or six months if over 35) without success, have irregular periods, a history of miscarriages, or known reproductive health issues, it is advisable to consult a fertility specialist for an assessment.
